First night without the babe...

Sunday night we experienced our first night away from the baby!  Hanson was playing, and I, of course had to attend the concert.  It was on the other side of the state unfortunately, so my mother, AKA Grams, agreed to watch the little bugger while we traveled and spent the night in Pontiac.

We made it just in time to join the guys from the band to "take the walk" (www.takethewalk.net/)

"Take The Walk is about giving you simple tangible ways to take action against the HIV/AIDS pandemic and poverty in Africa. A small donation, the purchase of a pair of shoes, the download of a song or simply taking a one-mile walk.

Many people took part in the one mile barefoot walk.

some local grafitti  -  yummy waffle fries from dinner  -   the venue, the crofoot ballroom

And, obviously, the show was great!!  Sold out and packed wall to wall!

But I did miss my baby, and thought of him often..... immediate snuggles back at home :)

First time at the orchard

Saturday afternoon we took Silas to visit some nearby orchards.

We can't wait until he is old enough to pick out his own pumpkin!

BEST DOUGHNUTS EVER.

Art Prize

Saturday afternoon we finally got a chance to go downtown and check out Art Prize (www.artprize.org).

It was great weather, and the crowds were insane!!  We could barely move through some areas, and I am pretty sure Jordan ran into about 7 people with the stroller (everything is so much more difficult with a stroller).  Silas was a champ though, and actually fell asleep for a whole 10 minutes (for some reason he doesn't tend to sleep in the stroller, unlike what I believe to be most babies).  And he made it over an hour with out having a pretty standard I'm-crying-for-no-reason meltdown.  Way to go buddy!

We didn't get to see all the art, of course, but we did get to see quite a bit.
